Role Overview:¶
We are seeking an Associate Delivery Analyst with a strong understanding of overall business needs and strategic objectives of the organisation. The ideal candidate will support the successful delivery of projects and initiatives across Simpaisa Holdings by providing analysis, tracking progress, and identifying potential risks and issues, encompassing project data analysis, delivery metrics, and reporting for a payments fintech operating across multiple jurisdictions. Strong expertise in data analysis and reporting, ensuring projects are on track and meet stakeholder expectations within a regulated environment, is essential. Expertise in agile methodologies and working collaboratively with delivery managers and project teams is also preferable.
Key Responsibilities:¶
- Gather and analyse project data from various sources (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, financial systems) to track progress against key milestones, objectives, and KPIs across Simpaisa Holdings' delivery portfolio.
- Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project status, risks, and issues to delivery managers, stakeholders, and leadership, including inputs for regulatory and board reporting.
- Identify and escalate potential risks, issues, dependencies, and deviations from project plans that may impact delivery timelines, quality, or regulatory compliance milestones.
- Track and report on delivery metrics including velocity, cycle time, lead time, defect rates, and deployment frequency, providing actionable insights to improve delivery performance.
- Facilitate project meetings, including status updates, risk reviews, and lessons learned sessions, and document key decisions and action items.
- Support delivery managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation across distributed teams.
- Monitor project budgets and track expenses against planned amounts, identifying any variances or potential overruns.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and governance processes, including those required by DFSA and SBP regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements within the delivery team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with the collection and documentation of project requirements, scope changes, and compliance deliverables.
- Support audit and compliance reporting by maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of delivery artefacts, decisions, and milestones.
Required Skills and Experience:¶
- Agile: Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile project teams.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present project data and analysis clearly and concisely to delivery managers, leadership, and compliance stakeholders.
- Strategy and Planning: Ability to understand project plans and contribute to monitoring progress against them. Strong organisational skills for managing project data and reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Leadership & Influence Skills: Ability to proactively identify and escalate project risks and issues, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, variances, and potential issues in project data, including delivery health metrics and compliance tracking.
- Delivery Analysis Expertise: Experience with project data analysis, tracking progress, and reporting. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI).
- Payments & Fintech Domain: Exposure to or interest in payments, fintech, or financial services is desirable. Understanding of regulatory reporting cadences and compliance project tracking (DFSA, SBP, PCI-DSS, AML/CTF) is a plus.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate effectively with delivery managers, team members, and other stakeholders across distributed locations.
General Requirements for the Role:¶
- Bachelor's Degree in related field: A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of experience in project support or analysis: Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing analytical support to project delivery teams, ideally within technology, payments, or financial services organisations.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools: Demonstrated experience in using project management tools (Jira, Confluence) and understanding project management principles.
- Proven track record of providing valuable project insights: A verifiable history of contributing to successful project delivery through effective analysis and reporting.
