Role Overview:¶
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Digital Delivery with a deep understanding of overall business needs and strategic objectives of the organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and initiatives within Simpaisa Holdings' Digital Office, encompassing delivery methodology, cross-team coordination, and delivery health dashboards for a regulated payments company operating across multiple jurisdictions. Strong expertise in project management methodologies and leading project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards whilst maintaining regulatory compliance, is essential. Expertise in agile methodologies and effective stakeholder management is also preferable.
Key Responsibilities:¶
- Plan, execute, and monitor projects and initiatives from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to defined scope, budget, and timelines across Simpaisa Holdings' cross-border payments platform.
- Lead and manage project teams across distributed locations (Dubai, Karachi, remote), providing clear direction, guidance, and support to ensure successful delivery.
- Define and continuously improve delivery methodology, ensuring it is fit for purpose within a regulated payments environment and aligned with DFSA and SBP governance expectations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and managing deviations with full transparency.
- Design and maintain delivery health dashboards providing real-time visibility into project status, velocity, risk, and compliance milestones for leadership and regulatory reporting.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation strategies with particular attention to regulatory deadlines and compliance deliverables.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders, including project sponsors, business owners, team members, and compliance/regulatory functions.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple tribes and squads, managing cross-team dependencies and ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and build strong working relationships to ensure alignment and satisfaction across technology, product, compliance, and operations teams.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilisation across jurisdictions.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed-upon quality standards, meet or exceed stakeholder expectations, and satisfy regulatory and audit requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the delivery team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Required Skills and Experience:¶
- Agile: Deep understanding and practical application of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading agile projects within regulated environments.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels, including regulators and board-level reporting.
- Strategy and Planning: Ability to develop and execute project plans that align with business objectives and regulatory timelines. Strong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously across jurisdictions.
- Leadership & Influence Skills: Proven leadership skills to motivate and guide project teams to achieve project goals across distributed, multi-cultural teams.
- Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve project challenges, including those arising from regulatory constraints or cross-border dependencies.
- Project Management Expertise: Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). Experience in managing project budgets and resources within financial services or payments organisations.
- Delivery Health & Metrics: Experience designing and maintaining delivery health dashboards, velocity tracking, and programme-level reporting for leadership and governance forums.
- Payments & Fintech Domain: Understanding of the delivery challenges unique to payments and financial services, including regulatory milestones (DFSA, SBP), compliance dependencies (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, AML/CTF), and multi-jurisdictional coordination.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment across technology, product, compliance, and operations.
General Requirements for the Role:¶
- Bachelor's Degree in related field: A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- 8+ years of experience in project or delivery management: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in managing and leading technology or digital projects, preferably within payments, fintech, or financial services.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously: Demonstrated experience in successfully managing multiple projects with varying complexities and timelines across distributed teams and jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery: A verifiable history of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards in regulated environments. Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master) are a plus.
